Hullo! ^ That there is me, I’m Josie the owner of this here silly blog thing.

I am twenty-two years old, Australian, a cisgender lesbian, a feminist and a vegetarian. I have two beautiful companion animals, a 12 year old Dingo/Bull Terrier called Smeg (Red Dwarf reference) and a DSH kitten called Merlin (SG-1 reference) who is almost a year. They are the sweetest pair, and tend to feature any time they do something adorable… which is often.

As you can tell from the obscure pet names, I am rather nerdy. So naturally there will be lots of sci-fi stuff posted here. I play the ukulele, and own four of them each of which feature here from time to time. My favourites are my Makala MK-C named Henry and my Flea soprano named Amelia (pictured). My favourite people in the world (after my animals, parents, and best friend) are Stephen Fry, Eddie Izzard, Joss Whedon, Charlie Brooker, and John Green.

Because I know that it’s what you like, not what you are like that’s important, here are some of my favourite books/bands/films/tv shows: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Slaughterhouse-five, or the Children’s Crusade: a Duty-Dance with Death by Kurt Vonnegut Jr, V for Vendetta by Alan Moore, The Smiths, Modest Mouse, Okkervil River, Labyrinth, Shaun of the Dead, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Doctor Who, Firefly, and Life on Mars.
